In times of disaster, our emergency response orgainizations often have the need for a diverse list of items; trucks, storage space, pumps and earth moving equipment are just a few. In addition, depending on the components of a particular disaster, experts in various areas such as chemicals, radiation and explosives can be extremely helpful as out region responds to an incident.
When disaster strickes, our business community is often the first to provide these types of critical assets. Private Assets for Region Responders (PARR) will take our regions's business community's inherent willingness to support with physical assets and critical personnel, and organize them in an easily accessed computerized database. This database will greatly increase the visibility of available assets to our regions responders.
Through Private Assets for Region Responders, businesses list assets, both physical as well as personnel, that they may have available for use by our Region 13 emergency responders. If the need arises, Region 13 emergency management will call on PARR participants to supply these assets.
